I had dinner yesterday in the baking tray cafe. Not my first time over there, and definitely won't be my last time.
We were five, and we have ordered so many things. All dishes were amazingly fresh!! That's what I love about the baking tray; you can literally taste the freshness of their ingredients. AWESOME!
I have some remarks though:
1. In their menu, there's a list of amazing soups. On top of it, it says something like "ask about the soup of the day." I've called the waiter wanting to order the "tomato and saffron" soup and what was his reply? "Sorry Ma'am, we only serve ONE soup a day. Today's soup is french onion." I'm wandering here, if they only serve one soup a day, why do they have all their soups listed in the menu?? Better to erase them or write down each soup along with its serving day. What do you think?
You made me drool on the tomato and saffron soup and it wasn't there :(
2. I didn't take shots of the food!! hmmm... how come?? well... it was HOT!! HOT HOT HOT!! which led me to "not-in-the-mood-for-taking-pictures-whatsoever" the AC wasn't working right and I found out that it's been this way for three days or more :(
Fix it pleeeaaaaase :)
Aaaanyhow... Despite that, I will never stop going to Baking Tray cafe!! LOVE IT!! Absolutely Fresh and DLish!!

1. Soup situation - WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! Yes, they need to fix that menu ASAP.... not fair to make you hungry for something, only to tell you it's not available "that day". I would suggest the list/day of the week combination.
2. Yes, please fix the A/C pronto! I don't do well in oppresive heat anymore, and Jeff has told me enough about your part of the world to know that a fizzling A/C unit is the pits! lol..... I do hope you are nice and comfy again, my dear. btw, Jeff says a big "HELLO!" and said he hopes you enjoyed the a cupcake or two for him :-)
They could just have said ask for the soup of the day and thats it... Neways The Baking Tray is a great restaurant i have been to it only once and can't wait to go again... Ooo chiney shtehait il tomato and saffron soup, what day do they serve it..?
