new cafe in town

Yesterday evening, my friends and I went to Cafe Bazza. We heard so much about it and thought we should give it a try.

Location:
Bneid Algar - Gulf street (opposite to friday's)

Entrance and sign:
prominent and love the logo (sorry for the brightness hehehe)

the entrance gate is brilliant :)

The Ambience:
Cozy.
Love the whole interior and decor.
Too many tables in a small area. (felt like we were talking with our neighboring table)
TV showing old plays and series
Music is stunning!! Old songs sung by Marwa Ben Sghaier just for Cafe Bazza. So calm and peaceful.

Some of the artworks:
LOVE THEM!

the bathrooms' signs? one word to describe them: CLEVER!

Menu:
I adore how they titled their entries. Using Kuwaiti dialect. Very smart ;)

Our order:
Drinks:
-Rose water. Spectacular summery drink. Very cool and breezy.

Food:
-Hommous? hmmm... was Ok!
-Chicken liver? WOAH!! cooked perfectly. Moist, sour and can't get enough of.

-Cheese puffs? Yum Yum. They were absolutely light.
-Didn't try this one. Not a meat lover! But I can tell you this: it wasn't admired!

-Musakhan: I really enjoyed it. The combination of moist chicken, pine nuts and amazing tomatoes, made my taste buds ask for more. You know? "Simmaq" would give it the right and familiar taste. Was there "simmaq" in it? if so, didn't feel it!
-Cream cheese with olives? hmmm... It was fine! All of us didn't applaud to the choice of cheese.

-Halloumi Salad: I absolutely adore the idea of having the salad on irani bread! After enjoying it, we cut a piece of the damp bread and rolled it with the salad! Tasty!!

Desserts:
-Presentation of the hot drinks was cute. Authentic!
-Gaimar and honey: Well! was craving for it hehe that's why I ordered it :D YUMM!

-Balalee6: hmmm... Not the usual!
-M7albiyyah: Nice but didn't like it's serving bowl!

-Knafa: try it and let me know :)
-Gir9 3gaily with icecream: very interesting dessert. Despite that, I didn't get the "3gaily"'s taste!

At the end of the day, we really had a good time. Thank you Cafe Bazza.

[Of course, this is my point of view, my taste buds and my review.]
I would love to go again for breakfast and lunch to try the rice :D

Anyhow, please check Cafe Bazza:
(the site is awesome... you can listen to Marwa Ben Sghaier while browsing! the layout and the whole design is warm and nostalgic)

Some of the dishes look wonderful, some a little.... well, let's just say since it's not my native fare, they look "unusual". However, if I was there with my wonderful friend Hadeel, I would have tried everything! As usual, sweetie, you have my mouth watering. Thank you yet again for introducing me to more dishes from exotic lands!
